goals
After this lecture, students are aware on standard functional units in terms of analog electronics (esp. transmission, and metrology systems). Moreover, they are able to select appropriate commercial integrated circuit components. Therefore, students are now able to develop own electronic systems.
content
The lecture „Measurement Techniques“ bases on the fundamental lecture „Electronic 2: Circuits“ and teaches the realization of the most important analog functional units in terms of electronic metrology and transmission system with respect to their ideal and real behavior. Several realization concepts are introduced and their advantages and disadvantages compared. State of the art realizations are introduced and discussed in detail. Finally, commercially available Systems time and frequency domain analysis (Oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers) are presented and their functionality discussed. - Introduction - System and error description - Noise - Functional units of electronic systems - Amplifier - Filters - Multipliyer, modulators - Arithmetic functional units - Voltage references - Sample and hold circuits - DA- and AD-converter - Signal analysis in time and frequency domain
